J.J. Abrams Star Wars: Episode VII

Hollywood heavyweight J.J. Abrams is ready to direct Star Wars: Episode VII, and show the world how many midi-chlorians he has. The Bad Robot founder has agreed with Disney to direct the next Star Wars movie.

Disney is the owner of LucasFilm LTD since purchasing the company in October for $4.05 billion in stocks and cash.

Credible sources have confirmed the news. Abrams, who had been courted for the project by Lucasfilm Chief Kathleen Kennedy since its announcement, will direct from a script by Michael Arndt (Oblivion).

Abrams is the co-creator of the TV series LOST, Fringe, Person of Interest, and Revolution. He produced Cloverfield and co-produced and directed the Star Trek reboot and the Spielberg collaboration Super 8.
