Pope Benedict XVI using an iPad to send a tweet (Video and photos)
As seen on the photo, Pope Benedict XVI has sent his first tweet via an iPad 2 to launch a Vatican news and information portal (www.news.va) on the 60th anniversary of his ordination.
His message read:
@news_va_en: Dear Friends, I just launched News.va Praised be our Lord Jesus Christ! With my prayers and blessings, Benedictus XVI.
The Pope, 84, tapped an iPad to activate the portal and send the tweet.Twitter, Facebook and YouTube are all now being used by the Vatican to spread its Christian message.
The Vatican’s twitter account in English: @news_va_en has more than 63,000 followers but “follows” nobody.

Video and Photos
As we can see in the video, at first the Pope couldn’t press the button correctly, he needed some help. It is clearly an iPad 2, since it has a webcam over its screen.
