Best Review Ever.
My thoughts on Apple’s new iPod Shuffle are quite similar to what Chris Pirillo says here.

hey geek,
So they can work out without a big mess in their pocket. Yeah I don’t know if you actually know what the term working out is because, well, your a geek who’s never worked out a day in your life. Really good try though!
Nobody said anything about working out in this post or in the video… are you a comment-bot?
No? But why else buy it? Provide some reasons besides working out and I’ll actually take your position seriously.
But the Nano brings that too.
your right on that one , I don’t mean to fight but I mean I would rather pay 50 dollars than 150. Because I dislike having my big iPhone 4 in my pocketwhile working out.
Ok, the price is really lower, but consider 2GB versus 8GB or 16GB. So it also depends on how many songs you want to carry with you.
10000% agree but it’s just easier to like grab it and run to the gym, I have 1.56 gb of songs so it perfect for me , but that’s not the situation for everyone so I guess it’s just personal
And your are also right, there is still a huge market for the Shuffle, and that is why Apple hasn’t drop it from the iPod’s line
Cheers !!
Haha cheers mate!
Love it for the click wheel. Easy to use while cycling. The prior model was painful to use and lacked features of the earlier version.
I felt this way until I got a Shuffle. Now 99% of my music listening is shuffle.
It turns out that most of us have a CURRENT PLAY LIST. Most of what we play at any time is off this current play list.
Also it is great for the gym. How many songs do you have that really pump you up for your workout? Tens of thousands?
Yeah, I used to laugh about how dumb the Shuffle is. What kind of idiot would get a music player with no screen and limited memory.
But it tiny, clips on to your clothes, and sounds amazing with an aftermarket set of earphones.
Turns out that convenience rules.

ps: Check out reviews of the first nano from what, 5 or 6 years ago? Who would pay so much money for a 4 gig nano when for a few dollars more you can get an 80 gig iPod (now “Classic”). Same issue. An extremely convenient 4 gig trumps a much heavier 80 gig in many, perhaps most, situations.
