First we have to know that:
- Twitter only counts the number of tweets since July, so older posts or web pages will just show zero (0) in the counter of the new twitter button.
- If somebody has a private twitter account (his/her tweets are not visible for the public), his/her tweets are not considered in the twitter counter.
- If this is happening to you in new posts, twitter updates the stats from time to time and not immediately. They say you have to wait some minutes, but I have experienced y self with this and another blog that all my new posts were showing zero (with some posts with more than 7 tweets and RT) for at least 18 hours, and just recently twitter has updated the real numbers.
Sigh. Good luck to everybody, I hope twitter will improve this service, it is a really useful way to expand and show how everybody likes to RT your posts.
