The first Macintosh was introduced on January 24, 1984; it was the first commercially successful personal computer to feature a mouse and a graphical user interface rather than a command-line interface.
As in the recent iPhone 4 presentation, back then Steve Jobs once again claims that everybody has seen only some Macintosh pictures, probably leaked in the news, or maybe some employee lost a Macintosh prototype in a bar

Steve has a huge smile, and is holding back some tears as he is overwhelmed by the moment. The ovation continues for at least five minutes before he quiets the crowd down
