Brad Bird is the director of Mission Impossible 4

Tom Cruise (Ethan Hunt) recently revealed in an interview the the Pixar director, Brad Bird (Ratatouille, The Incredibles) will be direct Mission Impossible 4.
Mission Impossible 3 was directed by J.J. Abrams, so we will see how this change of direction will suit to the franchise. Any way each movie of this saga had a different director everytime, 1 and 2 were directed by Brian De Palma and John Woo respectively.
We are working with Brad right now. I don’t know if I am allowed to talk about it but everything is signed… Brad is doing it.
