After watching the teaser trailer of Super 8, the new film of J.J. Abrams, this will be the beginning of several webpages and hidden codes, like the viral marketing developed for Cloverfield.
Our first clue is what it seems to be an official webpage: www.super8-movie.com, where we just see a swf file showing the lens of a video camera:
If we watch it in more detail, some red letters are showed in the middle of the camera lens. It has a video in a loop. Using a Flash decompiler software I was able to take screenshots of every frame, and the resulting phrase is:
Not to much for a clue, but at least it is obvious what it says:
TITLE:
DATE:
PROCESSED BY KODAK
This is just a clarification that Super 8 stands for the video format from the 70s:
Is there anyway to do the same thing with the leaked youtube trailer? At the end when it is another closeup of the lens, for about 3 seconds numerous letters scroll in the lens, and I cant make out what all of them are.
VERY NICE! Well done and thank you for decoding it
Can’t wait for this movie, its good to see Spielberg attached to a sci-fi/alien movie again

The guys from super8news.com have decoded the red letters from the trailer:
It says:
Scariest Thing I Ever Saw
Then http://www.scariestthingieversaw.com is registered by the same registration company that has super8-movie.com website.
The date February 5, 1977 willend up hacng to do with the movie as more stuff is leaked. More things can be found by digging deeper into http://www.scariestthingieversaw.com. But it only goes so far.
Sorry I don’t mean to be picky, but its Super 8 film (yes actual real film), not a “video format” as such. Wonderful stuff.
