Chatroulette has implemented a new Security System against some disturbing people in the service, or users who are just annoying, disrespecting the community rules, or just for being plain boring.
If 3 users in 5 minutes press the button: Report (F2), you (your IP) are banned from the service, and this message will pop everytime you will try to use it:
Basically, three people in last 5 minutes didn’t like what you have broadcasted and that’s why you’ve lost this game. You’ve been blocked for 40 minutes.
Update: Now the time is 10 minutes.
Looking at the Chatroulette’s XML Code the time of being blocked is a variable, so it won’t always be 40 minutes, maybe if more people report you it can be higher.
… You’ve been blocked for $_OPTIONS_BAN_TIME_MIN minutes.
The only solution to manage a HUGE COMMUNITY is giving some powers to the users.

I was on for maybe 20 mins or so, but suddenly I got this random message. I am female, but was just chilling in a tracksuit without make-up, so I probably wasn’t sexy enough. But on the plus side, I noticed far fewer pervs than usual, I guess they got blocked too!

Yes the f2 option doesnt really work , I have been banned for forty minutes quite a few times , and behaving perfectly normally , in fact because I am over 30 i make sure I immediately next most young users , cos a few of them tend to think olders are freaks lol.
I reckon anyone that over uses the report button in a short time slot doesnt want to be on CR and should get a time ban too.
Also they should have to subit a reason when they use the report button.
Or they should devise a better system.
this is BS and takes all the fun out of cr – i am fully clothed, smiling, etc. i’ve had some good chats but if you think im just going to keep waiting for 10 or 40 min your crazy. this is a stupid way to try to clean up cr.
i totally agree! finally checked out the site, and am getting banned for 10 min every 5 min or so. i’m a perfectly normal looking guy doing nothing pervy, and keep getting banned! what’s the point?
They should provide a disincentive to keep pressing report. Maybe if you hit report 5 times in 5 minutes, you’re automatically banned too. Or if you only hit report, you’re banned.
I was using a program called manycam, and showed the people their own webcam broadcast, so they would just see themselve.

I have discovered a trick.
Since the ban is for 10 minutes, once blocked you can go to a mirror page (google it) and there you are without ban. So you can play there for 10 minutes or until the systems bans you, after that you return to the original page and so on.
Well you can avoid it by changing your clock on your computer by 10 minutes+.
Then refresh.
How chatroulette is working now is boring. let the w@nk3rs w@nk, let the girls show the t..ts and let speak the people with one another. But don’t kick anyone. Its an open source to communicate!
dose it mean if you get banned for 40 mins youll never get unbanned agian?
I got banned forever. Not sure if it was an accident or what.
Get this, I didn’t get banned when I left the site. However, when I came back to Chatroulette it keeps saying that I’ve been banned forever. I’ve lost the game… Blah blah blah….
But I came back a couple times throughout the day and it still says it.
Should say, “You’ve been banned for life. That’s why you lost this game.”
