Everybody knows that director Tim Burton has a special predilection for films with dark, gloomy, lugubrious, Gothic stories, mixed with some magic and humor. This is why Tim Burton wants to make a movie about The Addams Family in 3D and with Stop Motion animation, like in Corpse Bride or The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Right now Burton is looking for a script writer, but we already know that this new movie won’t be related to any previous tv series or films, it is not a remake, the main inspiration source will be the original comics of Charles Samuel Addams, an American cartoonist known for his particularly black humor and macabre characters, he drew the Addams in 1959:
