Some movies at the moment are in 3D format, so still this technology is not for everybody, but this is not what the Lord of the Directors Martin Scorsese thinks, and I agree with him, I think in the future every movie will be in 3D format, even the dramas. (This avoids piracy and extends the experience).
BUT, today, we are not ready to see some titles in 3D, we are just grasping the idea step by step. So Precious will not be a success in 3D “today”.
Quoting him:
We see in depth, for the most part. We go to the theater, it’s in depth. Why couldn’t a film like Precious be in 3-D? It should be. I’d love to do one. It just seems natural that we’d be going in that direction. It’s going to be something to look forward to, but to be used interestingly.
