The Tsunami Warning in Hawaii has been officially canceled. All return to normal in the islands.
The only aftershocks of the 8.8 Earthquake in Chile, were 4 small waves in Waikiki and Hilo, the sea level just rose a little bit, covering some rock reefs.
At the beginning the water changed its color, then the water backed up, and four medium waves came.
Lets thank to science to be able to make this kind of predictions hours before a Tsunami can occur, but in the other hand there is still so much research to be done to be able to predict how intense this situations may be, since a false alarm may also be prejudicial for a country. I am sure that many people canceled their vacations in Hawaii and returned home earlier, and a lot families were afraid of a Tsunami situation.
