Video of Nodar Kumaritashvili’s accident in Canada Winter Olympics

Nodar Kumaritashvili (21 years old, from Georgia) was a luge competitor who left the track at high speed while he was training in 2010 Winter Olympics in Canada. This accident happened in the Whistler Sliding Centre, he was with a speed of 140 kmph.
Georgia confirmed they will compete in the Games as a tribute to him, while organizers said the luge event will take place following an investigation.
Kumaritashvili was part of a 7-strong Georgian team. He had died as a result of his injuries.
Prior to the Vancouver Games, no Winter Olympic athlete had been killed during an event.
