Firefox 3.6 has removed the option to see Image Properties in the contextual menu when you do a right click. Now you have to use View Image Info or View Page Info to see the properties, but this opens a huge new page of the Media tab, which is too bulky.
For me as a web designer, web developer and blogger, to see the properties of an image was a very useful function not found in any other browser. I was able to see alt, size, width, dimensions, height, resizes, title, URL, location, and so on.
Some complaints about this decision are already appearing in the forum of support.mozilla.com:
- On the version 3.6 i can’t use the following: right click: “properties” menu
- Where is the image “Properties”?
- Can’t right-click to find link properties in FireFox 3.6
Mozilla says that they removed the Properties option due to the Bug 513147 (Get rid of the “Properties” context menu item).
I hope they will bring this back, but for the moment the only solution is to install this Add-On:
Element Properties 5
Returns the ‘Properties’ menu item that was removed in Firefox 3.6 to the context menu.
