Via: Facebook’s Version of twitter’s Retweet

Facebook version Retweet Via

Facebook has now its own version of Twitter’s function RT Retweet. Facebook implemented a “via” feature that lets you repost another user’s posted links (no status updates or photos), with a “via” link attached for attribution.

How to try it

  • Go to a friend’s posted item in your news feed
  • Click “share”
  • You’ll can select a “via [your friend’s name]” (with an option to remove it).

The item will appear on your profile, with a via link that points to your friend’s profile. Your friends will also see the item in their News Feeds, creating the viral loop that works like the Twitter’s retweet.

Facebook keeps improving copying things from twitter (this is not the first time).
