The new trailer for Louis Leterrier‘s upcoming kick-ass reboot of Clash of the Titans has finally been officially released, it reveals Liam Neeson’s Zeus with a very shiny armor, a black flying Pegasus which look badass, a glimpse at the new Medusa with a beautiful face, three giant scorpions, the eyeless / blind Stygian witches, flying gorgons, Worthington’s “not teenager” Perseus and a full look at the new Kraken, which sure has a lot of teeth.
I said before that a black Pegasus was a bad change, but now I stand corrected, it look awesome, it really suits the film (the Kraken, not so much).
Clash of the Titans is the ultimate struggle for power, it pits men against kings and kings against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is helpless to save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld.
Director: Louis Leterrier(The Incredible Hulk).
Clash of the Titans opens March 26, 2010.
The best part of the trailer
For me the best part of the trailer was the synchronization of the Scorpion tail attacking Perseus with the background song The Bird of The Worm (The Used).
I will be waiting to have that The Bird and The Worm version once the soundtrack is out.

What monsters are missing?
Dioskilos, the two-headed dog that lives with Medusa in the Island of the Dead.
The robotic owl from Athena, Bubo as a replacement for his lost helmet of invisibility. The owl was built by Hephaestus. Bubo leads Perseus to the Stygian Witches.
The Vulture was a pet of Calibos, he was sent every night to visit princess Andromeda to take her spirit to the marshes so that a new riddle could be handed to her.
Where is Calibos?
The original Calibos from 1981 looked like this:
There is nobody in the trailer, with horns, tail and goat legs. So… ¿Where is Calibos?
This character (fighting against Perseus) looked for a moment as a possible Calibos, but in the official cast reported in IMBD, there is no Calibos in the film.
Calibos the son of Thetis patron goddess of the sea, was a handsome Young man destined to marry Princess Andromeda the daughter of Queen Cassiopeia thus one day becoming the eventual ruler of the rich city of Joppa and all of Phoenicia. However due to his mothers spoiling and indulgence of him since his birth, he committed unforgivable crimes in the eyes of Zeus the great god of Olympus. Zeus gave him the wells of the moon in his care but Calibos instead hunted trapped and killed every living creature including Zeus’ herd of sacred flying horses all except the one remaining horse Pegasus. As punishment for his shameful mark of vile cruelty, Zeus transformed him into becoming abhorrent to human sight, becoming a mortal mockery and thus being shunned and forced to live as an outcast in the swamps and marshes. Horns sprouted from his head, a long tail was formed and one foot became cloven attached to a goat like leg as well as the face becoming more devil like.
The Old and the New Kraken
This was the Kraken from Clash of the Titans 1981:
This is the New Kraken (2010):
The New Kraken looks like a mix of Cloverfield, the head of a turtle, plus the teeth and tentacles from the Pirates of the Caribbean’s Kraken.
The New Medusa is the Russian model Natalia Vodianova
The original Medusa from the previous movie looked like this:
The New Medusa has a face looking more human than before and a very long snake’s body:
The director decided to use a beautiful face for Medusa, the face of the Russian model Natalia Vodianova
Medusa was once a beautiful woman. Medusa had been punished by the gods by being transformed by the goddess Aphrodite into a horrible monster.
