The director Quentin Tarantino stars in the middle of this crazy Japanese Ad for Softbank Mobile Company.

The Dog’s breed is Akita, according to Nicole from dogster it is a Shiba Inu, and knows how to speak .

However, Brad Pitt has already appeared in Softbank TV spots, so one must think that the main reason for Tarantino’s performance is a huge fee.

Mega LOL.

  1. Quentin Tarantino en un comercial para celulares de Japón con un perro Akita =A= Aeromental / December 7th, 2009
  1. Nicole says:

The dog in the commercial is not a Akita, it is a Shiba Inu, they look close but the shiba inu is a smaller version of the akita breed.

    Thank You Nicole.

BTW, you are the very first comment in this blog

Tbh, might not even be a Shiba. These dogs are both bigger (two dogs share the role) than your standard-sized Shiba. Cream is a less common color for Shibas as well, though it’s not exactly rare.

My money is on either Kishu Ken or Hokkaido Ken, which are considered “Shika Inu,” medium-sized native Japanese breeds. The smallest native breed is the Shiba, then there are the four medium sized breeds: Hokkaido, Kishu, Kai, and Shikoku, then lastly the Akita.

I’m owned by two Shibas and have met a few Kai and Japanese-style Akitas (American Akitas tend to be, though are not always different). Hoping to import a Hokkaido someday.
